    1.)Character Name: Youngtealeaf
    2.)Character Class: Monk
3.)Which role are you primarily applying for?: Melee DPS
    4.)Armory Profile Link:

6.)Please provide us with a link to your WoL parses:

7.)Why do you want to join TFB?:

I want to clear a tier before the next tier is released, kinda tired of barely clearing or not clearing at all.

8.)Please provide us with a screenshot of your raid UI

9.)Are you easily offended by racist, sexist, or other such humor?

10.)Do you have any friends within TFB? Any enemies?

11.)Do you have any alts worth mentioning?

Some would classify me as an altoholic as I have played what the guild needed
But currently my up to date mythic alts would be

Priest - Healed with it in ToS and played Shadow in Antorus
Druid - Resto. Really only play it for m+ as pushing ~20-~25 was pretty impossible on a mistweaver
Demon - Play this guy for fun but somehow he ended up with 970 gear so

Not necessarily alts but I can play Brew and Mist confidently and was main MW when expansion launched (EN / NH)

I have played many classes and specs but these are not kept up to date but have played them this expansion.

    Shaman - Resto for ToS
Paladin - Holy for NH after our Pally gquit and pally was kinda important in NH

12.)What is the absolute latest time you can raid?

I can raid as long as needed (if for some reason raid goes till 6-7 am then ima need to get ready for university)

13.)Please note our raid times are in EST, are you able to make those times stated above?

14.)We raid from 7-11 on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. What time zone do we raid in?

15.)If the raid leader was to wrongfully chew you out in the middle of a raid how would you react?

Not sure how I would react would have to consider the situation a bit more, but I have been called out for being a dummy / retard before and I welcome it, cant improve if you aren't aware of a problem (hopefully I'm aware of an issue before I need to be yelled at). But, I would hope I am not getting "chewed out" for something I didn't do but this is all hypothetical.

16.)If you were asked to sit out for a raid that you signed up for in advance how would you react?

It's apart of a mythic raid team, there's a bench and people have to fill that. Hopefully, that's not me as no raider wants to be benched but is what it is. I have hearthstone/streams to bide the time.

17.)What two websites do you visit for the most WoW information related to your class?

mainly the discords for the respective class / spec. With discord being such a useful tool its hard not to use it over things like mmoc / wowhead. but sites like PeakofSerenity (previously WalkingtheWind) are great tools as well.

18.)A penguin walks through the door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?

The penguin shuts the door and gives a sigh of relief after his long journey. Penguin looks down and starts to ponder, "I cant think of a joke or something funny", he sighs and sits down to finish his application.

19.)Why are you actively searching for a new guild? What expectations do you have for us?

I am looking for a new home as my old home is now gone (at least to me). My expectation for a guild that I am currently joining is pretty simple. I want to join a guild that is looking to when we finish a tier instead of are we going to finish a tier. If I am mythic raiding I don't want to be putting [insert insane hours here] into something and not finish it. Were gamers we want to get the 100%, not the 91 or 89%.

20.)How long have you been playing WoW and how many guilds have you been a member of?

I have been playing WoW since vanilla and have been apart of a plethora of guilds on multitudes of servers (not really it's just kinda 10 guilds on maybe 4 or 5 servers). But since I am sure none of you has heard of my previous guilds I will spare me typing them all out., but I will list my legion guilds.

Zeal - joined them right before EN launched got 3/7 and lost to the attendance boss.
Astro Glide aka. Internet Dragon Slayers - joined them after the previous guild died and pretty much stayed with them until recently.

21.)What is your longest tenure in any one guild?

    1-3 Years

22.)How active do you plan to be on the forums during your tenure here?

    Once A Day

23.)What previous raiding experience do you have?

    Vanilla (practically nothing)
    Cata (no Firelands/DS)
MoP (some 10m ToT and flex SoO)
    WoD (HM / BRF)

24.)What can we expect from you in our raids?

I put in 110% in the raid as well as outside. I research fights constantly, I play multiple specs/classes, and I try to improve each time I log in.

25.)Despite our 3 day a week raid schedule and having an application that tests your humor, we can be very serious about DPS/HPS, reflexes, and raid attendance. These will be heavily critiqued by the raid leader. Can you handle this kind of criticism?

Yes. I welcome any criticism, helps point of my flaws.

26.)What do you feel are the most important aspects of your class and spec? What do you bring to the raid and how do you maximize it?

Windwalker Monk has had an interesting time this expansion. Ring of Peace has been a nice addition in fights like aggramar. But really a WW monk brings burst ST damage and a nice hint of cleave. Fights like Xavius that have 2 targets that need to die (the boss and the add) being able to help blow up an add while also dumping respectable damage into the boss is a huge advantage to any raid. WW doesn't necessarily have burst AoE, but if we can get 2 or 3 seconds to build our Spinning Crane up oh boy can we dump some damage onto an AoE pack. With this tier, the 4p enabled our Blackout Kick to not just be filler but have a proc so our overall ST damage and burst (when you consider ToD dumping) to not be below average. Oh and let us not forget the 10% movement speed when you stand near me!

TL;DR Huge Burst with our CDs aligning, Great Cleave, Not necessarily burst but great AoE

27.)If there's anything else you want to add; either a self bio, information about friends who may join, or if you simply want us to know something not asked, this is the time to let us know.

The name is Luke (yes you are my father haha). I am currently an English Major studying to be something (not sure yet). I'm kind of a shut-in and help take care of my parents. I love video games and computers and am not exclusive to WoW. However, I do love WoW. I play multiple specs and classes as I have mentioned and I play really whatever the guild needs me to play whether that some sick WW damage (I'm not a FotM monk, I have played during the hard times and was a MW majority of this expansion) or hopping on the paladin for the beacons or creating a death knight because you need chill blains on magmaw and cho'gall. I just love logging on to raid with the boys (and girls) and doesn't matter what buttons I am pressing in the end when the boss falls over. While I'm not raiding and playing WoW you can probably catch me pushing some M+ keys as I'm always down for those or secretly and shamefully trying to get some more pets. I'm hoping to raid with you guys and should be interesting.

28.)TFB has no guarantee that server transfers will be automatically accepted into the guild. Failure to perform at our level or failure to attend raids reliably during your recruitment period can and will result in denial. Do you accept this risk?

29.)How did you hear about us?

30.)What is your current artifact level on your weapon? Do you have any legendaries?

    legendaries = a lot

    Hey Tea,

As you can probably guess, I'm not going to be reviewing your application (that whole us being besties thing), so I'm leaving most of the discussion to the other raiders and officers. A lot of the discussion has centered around mastery of a class vs. jack of all alts. Your parses on the monk are good, but not awe inspiring and some members have expressed concerns about how committed you can be to a class that will be your main while raiding. Since we typically don't have many instances where we bring an alt to raid (I can only think of one instance on Varimathras and farm Aggramar), mastery of your main class will be key. Can you explain a bit about why your numbers may be lower on your monk than we would typically expect from a top tier recruit?

A second follow up (and this is more because I have prior knowledge of the situation), could you explain your "main swap" to spriest in TOS. I know IDS has pushed you on the spriest a bit, and was hoping you could explain the situation. This can also shed light on some of the issues in the first question as well.

Lastly, could you explain the problems that IDS is having on Argus? It's very important for our raid team to be able to identify problems as they are occurring, and work together to find a solution.

Appreciate it, and good luck man. I'll be pulling for you.

mastery of a class vs. jack of all alts.

I guess I should have stated it a bit better but my alts are out of raid stuff but when it comes to raid I play the 1 spec. Case and point played WW monk from our 3rd prog kill to our argus prog when officers talked about melee going ranged on argus (8-10 melee) as that was the issue at the time. If its WW forever then that's fine, I just was doing what the guild had asked for me to do. It was never the case of me just randomly bringing X alt to whatever I wanted there was always a reason for me going to X alt and it was always from higher-ups saying that was the direction they wanted to go as well.

    IDS Argus.
So I don't really like throwing blame on anyone but our Argus progression is just our guil'dan progression all over again. 500 p1/p2 wipes will try anyone's patience. People oblivious to even heroic mechanics "oh the deathfog from p1 goes away?". Transitioning at the worst time to p2 and just going with it and wasting more time. I have always offered my opinions and different strats towards the officers but it would just go ignored such as the middle strat for p1 since we do an awkward heroic rotational strat. The tanks also have no clue what their doing as they change the way they tank it almost every pull. " let's do 2/2/2/ on scythes" next pull "let's do 1/3/3". Probably my biggest annoyance is they never wait for a scythe to swing before moving him so we have probably 100 wipes of the entire raid just getting culled because of an improper tank movement. My solution has pretty much been p1 middle strat. p2 doesn't sacrifice the healers. But ultimately the strat is catered to our weakest members such as the healers and tanks.

    Monk Parse.
On the outlook yes my parses are half blue and green but looking at ilvl my parses go from blue/green to purple, as well as these parses im posting are kill logs. IDS does not really do well with reclearing (10 wipes on imonar per week). The fights IDS did have on farm (basically first 5) my parses are good, and I never really put on my log pushing pants because it was kinda pointless as its the first 5 who really cares im worried about aggramar/argus, im doing mechanics to make sure we kill these bosses (id rather get a purple parse because I soaked something than a legendary because I ignored a mechanic or just cheesed it).

tl:dr IDS has terrible reclearing ability (spent 2 nights purely for vari/coven farm kills). My logs aren't awe-inspiring when you look at the front page but when you look at ilvl they improve,

Kinda hard to parse on imps when u have a fury warrior and a fire mage
half of dps is dead a minute before kill and only 4 dps alive for kill (typical IDS farm) and I die
from just receiving a paladins judgment debuff heal but still pull a decent ilvl parse.

Hopefully, I have answered any concerns or questions and not created new ones.
