    1.)Character Name: Ytec
    2.)Character Class: Shaman
3.)Which role are you primarily applying for?: Healer
    4.)Armory Profile Link: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/sargeras/Ytec

    5.)Age:21

6.)Please provide us with a link to your WarcraftLogs:

7.)Why do you want to join TFB? Why are you searching for a guild, and what expectations do you have?:

This raid tier was the first that I actively pursued mythic raiding and I found it challenging and a whole lot of fun. I love my current guild but we have been having attendance issues for the past month, well really longer and I do not like sitting on my hands when I know that I can be doing better. As for expectation that I have, obviously I want to be challenged as a player and to get kills but I think that goes without saying. I guess what I expect from a guild would be that everyone shows up and does their jobs to the best of their ability. Right now I am just a little frustrated being part of a guild which I give my all to and there are only two or three other players who give the same amount.

8.)Are you easily offended by racist, sexist, or other such humor?

    No

9.)Do you have any friends within TFB? Any enemies?

I am new to Sargaras so I don't know a whole lot of anyone tbh.

10.)Do you have any alts worth mentioning?

I have a fairly well geared Resto druid on Sargeras as well as a second mostly geared Gurardian/feral Druid on Stormrage.

11.)How do you ensure you handle mechanics with the highest success?

There is always a way to maximize your positioning so that mechanics can be handled in the most efficient manner. Mechanics are the basis of almost any fight, and it doesn't matter what numbers you are pulling if you die to something on the floor or multi sided strike or something like that. One thing that I really like about how the raids progress through difficulties is that you are able to practice a majority of the mechanics in the lower raids if you find yourself struggling. That being said, I don't usually toot my own horn, but I am amazing at mechanics. I pride myself in not taking unnecessary damage in most fights. As for adding I use DBM and recently have been trying out the weak auras that mark when mechanics are coming out. That being said Personally I utilize game sound and my eyes more than most other things when it comes to mechanics. There are always signs within the game itself that things are coming and if you know what you are looking for then it is simple to avoid unnecessary damage or one-shot mechanics. If there is something that I find I am struggling with then I will look up videos on how to handle it and research exactly what causes that mechanic so that I can better understand how to avoid it or minimize its effect in the future.

12.)Why do you play this game? What keeps you motivated to keep coming back for more?

I find it fun. It's as simple as that. I have been playing this game since it came out, I was 7 at the time, so this game has always been a part of my life. More recently I have been getting into the social and competitive aspects of the game and I find both of those engaging.

13.)How do you keep up to date on your class?

I have a group of Resto shaman friends from different guilds and servers and we discuss class changes when they come out. I also research what the top Resto shamans are running with, talent and gear wise and once I know what they are doing, I find out why so that I can see if those talents and gear will work for me as a player. That being said, if all ten of the top ten are running a certain thing then obviously that is the best combination and I would be a fool to not figure out why and how it works and implement that in my own gameplay. Other than that, I am constantly checking BIS lists and seeing how azurite traits, talents and gear interact to make me the best player I can be.

14.)An LGBTQ penguin walks through the door right now wearing a sombrero and demands you use their preferred gender pronouns. What do they say and what do you say back?

My initial response is how did a Penguin manage to open a door but then I realized it didn't specifically say that the penguin opened the door. So really my question for the penguin is where did it get a sombrero and how did it learn to speak. Other than those two pressing questions I will happily call he/she/they/it whatever they want as long as they do mechanics and pull good numbers and aren't a shitty person. If they don't do those things, then I will unhappily call them whatever they want because I may be occasionally cranky with people who don't do their jobs I will never attack someone for who they are. :)

15.)What previous raiding experience do you have?

I have been here since the beginning so... everything lol. Like I said earlier though BODA was my first tier seriously mythic raiding. I made it to Vectis in Uldir and downed Opulence this tier. For Crucible I co-led a pug heroic AOTC run with a few friends, I led the healers and did callouts while the tank generally explained the fights to the pugs.

16.)What can we expect from you in our raids?

You will always have my all. This tier I went on a roundtrip with my boyfriend for a week, which took me away from my house for three of our raid days. I set up my computer and raided off my phone hotspot in a moving car, don't worry, my boyfriend was driving, so that we would still be able to progress. I try to remain self-sufficient and make pots and flasks and provide them to my guild mates when I can. I have no problem making things for my guildies for free if they provide the matts or at a discounted price if they want me to use my own supplies. Raiding is a team sport and we all have to be able to rely on each other all of the time.

17.)Despite our 3 day a week raid schedule and having an application that tests your humor, we can be very serious about DPS/HPS, reflexes, and raid attendance. Can you handle this kind of environment?

I have no issue with wiping as long as progress is made. That being said I hold myself to the highest standard of that if I am fucking something up I do everything in my power to fix that mistake and so I expect the same from my team mates. I take criticism very well and am always open to helping people if there is something that I am better at than them. I am a fast learner and try to learn how to maximize my HPS in any given fight. Learning how to time a cloudburst totem for instance may take a few pulls to get right, as every group moves at a slightly different pace when it comes to pushing a boss through phases but once I find the rhythm of the group and the fight you can bet I am going to be maximizing the timing on that shit.

18.)If there's anything else you want to add; either a self bio, information about friends who may join, or if you simply want us to know something not asked, this is the time to let us know.

Right now, I am fully prepared to commit to the raid schedule and through the summer it will also be great. However, I am graduating from college so after the summer I am not sure about my life schedule. I do not foresee a problem as I am moving to NYC and the raid times are in the evenings so work shouldn't be an issue. I just don't want to spring that on a new guild randomly so I figured I would be upfront about it.

19.)TFB has no guarantee that server transfers will be automatically accepted into the guild. Failure to perform at our level or failure to attend raids reliably during your recruitment period can and will result in denial. Do you accept this risk?

    Yes

20.)How did you hear about us?

    Hi there,

in short, everything looks good here. I'd like to offer you a shot but keep in mind we're in "full burn" mode with Mythic jaina so there's a lot of extending going on as we finish off the tier, and while we extend to down this boss, it's highly unlikely we'd invite someone brand spanking new after the week we've already put in on her. You'd probably only get to really play with heroic crucible on Wednesdays and then you're sitting on your hands until we finally put this tier to rest (Hopefully that is this Monday). As long as you're ok with waiting around a lot potentially next week, we can get things going soon.

I understand. I wouldn't expect you to take a new person into a prog fight, it just doesn't make sense :). Changing guilds mid tier is obviously not an ideal situation but there will always be a new tier. I look forward to what comes next with this app process, just let me know what the next steps are. I am easily reachable at my battle tag Atec#1616, otherwise I will check back on this feed when ever I'm at my computer.
